Sunnyside Cottage - Robin Hood's Bay

Another great visit to RHB and a perfect stay, in Sunnyside. The best, most dog-friendly cottage you could experience. Welcoming, comfortable, cosy and the best dog welcome basket, you could imagine. The human one isn't bad, either ;).

Nice winter brake, much needed

Such a relaxing place, we love visiting the . We stayed at Sunnyside cottage this time and loved the concept of the Dog friendliness of the cottage all the little extras. The cottage was cozy and ideally placed looking forward to our next visit.

Fantastic cottage, probably the most dog friendly place I have ever stayed in. Everything you can think of has been thought of. Lovely welcome package for dogs and humans. Robin's Hood bay is absouletly beautiful. We love coming off season when it's so quiet

A short break was needed, not a fan of the middle bit of Christmas and love Robin Hood’s Bay. This came up and I booked it . No regrets , a very welcoming cottage. Bonus of wine and chocolate for the humans and presents for the dogs. Only regret didn’t book for longer. Thank you

As soon as I opened the door I could feel myself relaxing, it was warm and welcoming, lovely and clean, everything you needed and so much careful consideration of how to make it home from home plus treats for humans and dogs - thank you. Wonderful to wake up to see the stunning view of the sun rising over the sea. Easy walks straight from the cottage, along the beach towards Ravenscar then back along the cinder track. An adventure taking evening walks, Billie loved exploring the ginnels through the cottage, lots of sniffing and the path along the mosaic wall leads to a handy grassed area. Smugglers Bar super dog friendly and serves terrific pizzas and felt very comfortable going in just me and Billie. A brilliant few days, great communication, great attention to detail with description and advice. Thank you very much.

It was lovely to have a short break in November and despite the weather we thoroughly enjoyed it. The cottage was extremely well equipped and we have never stayed in a place that was so well prepared for the dog. The owner left milk, wine and chocolate for us and a box of treats for the dog which was very thoughtful of her.

A lovely clean tidy cottage and so dog friendly .

The cottage was lovely and very comfortable. It was extremely dog-friendly and our dog quickly settled in. The cooking facilities were excellent, although little used. The only slightly negative bit was the difficulty in negotiating the hill and finding sufficient space to unload/load the car.

This small but cosy cottage is ideally situated to explore the Bay. It is very clean and well equipped., everything is provided to keep your pooch happy. The stairs to the bedrooms are very steep, unavoidable in a property of this kind but may cause issues for humans or pooches with mobility problems (or little/puppy legs).2 minutes walk from the beach and Cleveland Way path, lots of food options handy if cooking in is not your thing.

Lovely cottage in a great location and very dog friendly, owner supplies everything for the pooches along with good quality doggy hampers and towel robes. Exceptionally clean and had lovely weather during our stay.A lovely bottle of fizz and biscuits on arrival, we’re back again in Dec, thoroughly enjoyed our stay thank you x

Amazingly dog friendly property in the perfect location!

Our stay at Sunnyside Cottage was incredible, everything was so well thought out for the dogs and ourselves , with a wonderful hamper on arrival and so many things to keep you occupied and feeling cozy, you can see so much love has gone into the cottage. The location was like an absolute Fairytale, with stunning views and beautiful little shops, it truly was a dream to visit. Hopefully we can come back and visit again in the future.

Myself, James and Basil ???? had an absolutely brilliant time ???? Sunnyside is super dog friendly with Dogrobes provided, treats for both doggies and humans aplenty, a doggy borrow box full of toys, and the freedom for them to relax as they would at home (sofa’s etc inc.) It’s less than 100m from the beach for those early morning walkies, and a short stroll from The Cleveland Way and The Cindertrack for something more strenuous. Whitby, Staithes and Sandsend are also within east driving distance if you fancy a day out, but you really do have everything you need here to enjoy a few days relaxing by the sea ????The cottage is immaculate, super clean and tidy, and so cosy and comfortable! We can’t recommend this place enough ????

Lovely spot with a great pub at the bottom of the steps. Lots of nice treats for our little dog and a birthday bottle of fizz ready in the fridge.

The cottage was very thoughtfully done out and had plenty of accessories - we borrowed the ‘anxious’ sign to put on his lead and were grateful for the stove top coffee pot and the other items.We all relaxed immediately and the sunrise from the main bedroom was amazing. The log fire was very cosy It was very friendly and we felt welcome - some cottages have several pages of things you must not do!We would come back!

A lovely village with everything you could want on your doorstep . Sunnyside is a great cottage ,spotless ,well equipped, comfortable,dog friendly and in a great location .

Beautiful area and the most amazing relaxing cottage.

We have been staying in Robin Hoods Bay for New Year for the last 10 years. I can honestly say this New Year was one of the most enjoyable and relaxing times we have had. Sunnyside Cottage is beautiful, it is well equipped, warm and inviting. It is also very dog friendly. The cottage was beautifully decorated for Christmas which made it all the more special. The hamper for us and our dog Timmy was a lovely surprise.Thank you for letting us stay, we would love to stay again.Denise, Nick, Bradley Riley and Timmy the dog x

Comfy house lovely location super dog friendly.

Fantastic little cottage only 1 minute from the beach. Well equipped throughout, although stairs are unavoidably steep. Lots to do in RHB.We went on lots of walks, both along beach (download the tide times!) and on the Cinder Track, which is the old Scarborough to Whitby railway line.It's about 6 miles RHB to Whitby, but there's the Windmill Inn after 4 miles for refreshments. Also went to the Folk Club at bottom bar of Bay Hotel, which is even closer to the cottage than the beach.Altogether a terrific place for a break

Lovely cottage and very dog-friendly but like all holidays not long enough! Robin Hood’s Bay is the place to get fit - that’s if you walk up that hill! Very friendly place with great cafes (Cove Inn for coffee and cannolis) and Brambles Bistro for wonderful evening meals.

I felt relaxed from the moment I got there. The cottage I stayed in was central, cosy and had everything I needed. I enjoyed walking along the beach and parts of the Cleveland Way. Everyone in RHB was very friendly and helpful and there are some lovely shops and places to eat

Beautiful, well appointed and clean cottage with lots of nice finishing touches. The welcome basket was also a lovely surprise and we especially liked the location of Sunnyside. It was good to be so close to the sea and all the local shops and restaurants.

Lovely bijou cottage, very clean and great location. Great thought for equipment for pretty much every eventuality.Very helpful with booking etc, highly recommend.

We had a wonderful New Years holiday staying in Sunnyside cottage.Ive been visiting RHB for approx 25 years, and this has to be my favourite cottage.Superb location, very clean, we loved the woodburner and used it everynight.The beds were so comfortable and we slept so well.Will defiantly stay again.

Yet another perfect escape to the Bay. The cottage was immaculate, cosy and homely. Booking, arrival and vacating is always seamless and its good to know Sam and Sian are on hand if ever needed. We adore the Bay and only ever book with Baytown Holiday Cottages. Thank you both!

Amazing place to stay

This little cottage is so close to the bottom of the bay you can walk to the beach barefoot and its only a short walk back from the pub at the the end of the day. The sea view from the top bedroom is lovely over the tops of the few cottages in front of you and the whole place feels like home from home. Ive stayed here before with a friend and this time as a romantic break and to attend a local wedding, both times it was perfect for the occasion. Thank you once again Sam for making my holiday relaxing and stress free!

My stay at the bay was fantastic as always , lovely selection of food weather was good and the stay was cosy . My booking was a last minute booking but felt very much looked after and very happy with baytown holiday cottages services

We just love Robin Hood's Bay - the place, the people and the food! We enjoyed visits out locally to Scarborough and Whitby as well as walks along the Cinder Track and beach. The compact and cosy cottage had everything we needed and very close to Brambles and Marion's Fisheries (lovely food). We particularly enjoyed the seafood meals at The Wayfarers. We'll be back very soon as love it as much in the winter as we did in the summer.

Lovely compact cottage in a great very convenient location. Kitchen well equipped. We had a snag arise but it was dealt with excellent customer service and efficiency so I'm not marking them down.

Booking with Baytown holiday cottages was quick and easy and on the occasion I spoke to Sam he was lovely and friendly. Staying in Sunnyside was fabulous for our family of four. Just enough room down stairs for us to sit around the cosy wood burner and enough room for us to spread out upstairs. The cottage was also very well located in the bottom of the bay very close to the smugglers bar which was great for us with older children as we got to nip out for a cheeky pint without being too far away, but we never heard any noise from it at kicking out time which was good. We had a great stay in sunnyside and will definitely book again in the future. Thank you

We always love to visit the Bay and try a different cottage most times. Sunnyside was extremely close to bottom of the bay and all its amenties and the view from the top bedroom was lovely to wake up to. Looking froward already to our next visit!

Another great weekend in The Bay and a cosy cottage via Baytown Holiday Cottages. Sunnyside is a fantastic location and has everything you need to get away from the hassles of life and relax, yet only a minute from the Dock.Good to see many people enjoying the weekend toward the end of the main season, enjoying all the Robin Hoods Bay has to offer.
